OUR GOALS
- To promote health & well-being through the sport of running and to encourage active participation in a Community Running Event---Women’s 5K Walk & Run
- To promote the Women’s 5K Walk & Run and its beneficiary---The Moses Cone Mammography Scholarship Fund
- To provide each participant a supportive environment in which he or she is educated, guided, and motivated to run
- To provide each participant a simple, safe, and effective training program
- To provide each participant a positive, memorable personal & group experience
- To foster growth in the running community & promote the sport of running
Running Schools Offerings
Schools are offered for each event and open to individuals of all fitness levels: whether the individual is a new runner, returning runner, or routine runner--- we will help match him or her to an appropriate School based on current fitness level and running goals.
- Beginner 5KSchool: Running the 5K (3.1 miles) is an excellent goal for new runners! If an individual is able to run at least 1 mile or walk for at least 30 minutes three times a week, we’ll get them off to a super running start!
- Intermediate “Pace” 5K School: Open to any women interested in improving her personal running pace. A running base of 3 miles is suggested. School will include running drills and various forms of speed work.
Each School lasts 10 weeks
- Beginner 5K: 10 weeks beginning July 27*
- Pace 5K: 10 weeks beginning July 29**
Running Schools will officially meet each Tuesday* or Thursday** and take place at various parks and tracks in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.

● Pace 5K: $125
